INFORMATION:

Anson Road is a wide residential street located in the north west London neighbourhood of Willesden Green.

The property itself is located on the 1st floor of a 1930’s build block containing x5 apartments. Our clients apartment offers 450sq/ft of internal living space with views overlooking a rear private gardens.

The client brief was to maximise rental returns while delivering a project with a tight budget. It was imperative to create a space which built upon the properties quite setting yet enhanced the space making it suitable for the demands of the modern rental market. The client had a strict budget which made sourcing materials that fit both budget and end project objectives vitally important.

The key design improvements were new kitchen / bathroom spaces and the adoption of open plan principles in line with modern living styles. After a consultation with build control it was ascertained the kitchen could not be relocated without vast expense and harm to the layout of the property. The decision was made to cut into the kitchen wall to create an open plan feel as well as a raised dining area. This was cost effective and in line with building regulations.
